A scholarship, valued at $50,000 will be provided to one graduate student registered full-time in a doctoral program in the Faculty of Engineering. The scholarship will be paid to the student annually in increments of $10,000 each year for five years as long as they remain registered. Selection is based on academic excellence (minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent in their current or most recently completed graduate program) combined with an interest in molecular beam epitaxy or human-factors engineering. This fund is made possible by a donation from Maks Wulkan.
One Award valued at $10,000 annually to one student through the completion of their PhD. The period of this defined term award will be from 2020 to 2025.
- Graduate student registered full-time in the doctoral program in the Faculty of Engineering.
- Selection to be based on academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average or equivalent in' their current or most recently completed graduate program).
- Preference will be given to students joining the Molecular Beam Epitaxy Research Group followed by a student with demonstrated interest in human-factors engineering.
- The Faculty of Engineering will identify candidates based on their application for admission.
- Preference will be given to students who do not concurrently hold a major scholarship exceeding $3,000 per term.
- This funding must be awarded in addition to the minimum funding the student may already be receiving.
