The awards are made to graduate students entering studies in quantum information at the University of Waterloo, based on academic excellence and potential for research as determined by grades, research statements, and reference letters.

Eligibility & selection criteria: 

The awards are given to graduate students entering studies in quantum information at the University of Waterloo, based on academic excellence and potential for research. All students applying to Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) will automatically be considered for this scholarship. Decisions will be made by the Institute for Quantum Computing Scholarship Committee, and will be based on grades, research statements, and references.
