This scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time graduate student registered in the Faculty of Health on the basis of scholastic excellence and a demonstrated interest in research related to aging and older populations, including Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
The goal is that this scholarship will be awarded in conjunction with major external scholarships that require a matching or enhancement component (e.g. Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)) as long as these programs are in effect. If the match or enhancement becomes unavailable or a suitable recipient cannot be found, the funds may be paid out as a regular graduate scholarship. This fund is made possible through donations from Ken Murray and his daughters, Susan Pearce and Leslie Harwood.
Varies up to a maximum of $5,000 for 1 full award paid over 3 academic terms.
