Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre - Kitchener Waterloo |
The Waterloo Region Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre is a 24/7 on call team of nurses and social workers who respond to the needs of individuals who have experienced sexual assault or domestic violence. The team can be accessed through the Emergency Departments at St. Mary’s General Hospital and Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Confidential treatment options will be offered for those accessing the team.

How to Access: Go to the Emergency Department of St. Mary’s General Hospital or Cambridge Memorial Hospital, and request to speak to a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. The team will be contacted to meet with you in private. If you have questions or to arrange counselling, please call their office at (519) 749-6994. Counselling Services offers individual and group counselling, as well as workshops and online coping resources. For more information, please visit Waterloo Counselling Services. Walk-in appointments are available on Wednesday and Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is recommended that, if possible, you speak with an Intake Specialists (located at Needles Hall North) before walk-in hours begin to see when an appointment is available. If your concern is urgent and it is later in the day, please still go to their offices to be seen by an Intake Specialist. |
