The workshop is hands-on and explores using RefWorks, and any research database having citation-tracking capabilities, to:
1) maintain an accurate list of your own publications, and
2) track citations for your publications.
The process explored will help you gain insight into how it is possible to arrive at robust citation counts by working with core citation-tracking databases. As this workshop focuses on the process of accumulating citation data across a variety of data sources, it does not delve into author-level bibliometric data (e.g. h-index, etc). Given the hands-on nature of the session, attendees must have prior RefWorks’ experience!
