A few different views of happenings across campus - one from a very different perspective.
Construction cranes are a familiar site across campus. This photo shows the view construction crews enjoy from their lofty vantage points as they go about their normal day. Photo submitted by Jamie Reilly with thanks to her friend, Bruce Hilton (photographer and crane operator).
Another peak at last week's frosty day from just outside the new Accounting building. Photo submitted by Karen Davidson.
A giant bird (was it a hawk?) perched at the top tip of the Christmas tree atop the Porter Library. Submitted by Laurie Strome. Photo by Mary Lynne Bartlett.
"Carol Steele and I spent the better part of Wednesday afternoon updating and organizing the Philosophy Book Board located in the Philosophy Dept in HH [Hagey Hall]. Unfortunately partway through, our stapler decided to protest and made life a bit difficult for us however after lots of fiddling we finally got everything attached (only to learn once the last book jacket was tacked on that there was a more suitable stapler located in an admin office)." The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
