Wednesday was an exciting day at the Library as many of us participated in the Excellence Canada retreat. So many ideas were shared and gathered!
Earlier this week the Library embarked on an 8-month trial with the campus Writing Centre that has Writing Centre staff serving students at Porter Mon-Fri from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm! Exciting!
The Writing Centre staff are serving patrons at Davis too! You can find them at DC Mon-Fri from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm during the pilot!
On a campus full of nesting geese and newly-minted geese parents, it was refreshing for Sarah Forgrave to run into this friendly critter on a walk across campus.
Beverly Hershey's days were not on campus this week but in Kansas City, Missouri at the ALADN conference. KC is home to the headquarters of Hallmark which owns Crayola. This is a crayon wheel comprised of 1,700 crayons on each side - all different colours. That's right 3,400 crayons in total.
Some pictures from the big move in 1987 from the Math building to the Davis building. Look at that chute!

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
