A lot of our staff have been out and about on this week's Library Lens...
The Arts Faculty mascot, Porcellino, is hungry for knowledge! Legend has it he can help you ace your exams... which makes sense as, according to his Twitter feed, he's a library card holder. Photo submitted by Jane Forgay.
It was a surprise to find an old Airstream trailer parked in the Arts Quad on Monday morning. It's part of This could be the place, a week of performances culminating in a symposium coordinated by the University of Waterloo Art Gallery. Photo submitted by Bev Hubbard.
Sam Gibbon, Nadeem Lawji and Mary Lynne Bartlett followed the signs to get to the OCUL Resource Sharing Day at the University of Western Ontario. Photo submitted by Mary Lynne Bartlett.
It's been a great week to enjoy your lunch alongside the new flowers on the Porter patio. Photos submitted by Laurie Kaufman and Beverly Hershey.
Mary Lynne is on the road again...this time for the Great Lakes Resource Sharing Conference in Perrysburg, Ohio. Images show the Northwest Ohio Regional book depository and clock tower (with a cameo by the uWaterloo goose), and the fun calendar they have at the book depository in Levis Commons where the conference is being held. The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
