Library Lens - Week 32

Nothing really exciting happens on campus during the quiet of intersession.  Or does it?

Davis

"It's strange to see the building so empty and quiet!  The calm before the fall storm ;)"  Photos submitted by Jamie Reilly.

annex

"A collage of photos from our trip to the beautiful Annex last week. Annex staff member, Angi Davidson, is pictured in the bottom photo with Carmen and Alex."  Photos submitted by Alex Dobre.

Basil and daisy plants

"On the right is a big, beautiful basil plant from the students of Grow Rocket who have been using Musagetes as their growing space. It's contrasted with Sue Martin's poor gerbera daisy on the left, which I forgot to water while she was away...oops! (It has since recovered)" Photo submitted by Sara Perkins.

sinkhole

"It's true, Dana Porter really is sinking. Hang on folks, we're going down! On Monday, I noticed there was an indentation in the ground in the moat so I reported it to Facilities.  By Tuesday, the indent had grown (photo on left) and by Wednesday, you could see a corner of the underground tunnel (photo left).  When I posted the tilting DP in Week 27 of the Lens, I thought it was trick photography.  I am now sure that the sinkhole happening this week is what caused the tilt back then."  Photos submitted by Laurie Strome.
