It was an exciting week in the library with lots of costumes and treats!
Alex Dobre and Carmen Peters set up a fun photo booth in their office space to raise money for the United Way. Library staff had fun dressing up in the various costumes and props! Photo submitted by Alex Dobre.
"When my husband and I were at the Colosseum in Rome, they had an exhibit inside on ancient libraries. I took a few pictures, the ones of the shelves are an example of what the shelves would look like in ancient Roman times with scrolls and such." Photo submitted by Jenny Hirst.
"One of our co-op students, Deb, had the idea to crowd-source our pumpkin decorating during Library Day. We put out some paints and architecture students added to the designs throughout the day, resulting in one very colourful pumpkin!" Photo submitted by Sara Perkins.

"On Wednesday my daughter Carolina accompanied me to work on “Take our kids to work day”. During our signage inventory on the main floor of Davis Library, Carolina recorded 25 types of signs and their locations. We were amazed to find almost 100 signs! Thanks to Esther Millar for taking our photo." Photo submitted by Rose Koebel.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
