Calculating Your Academic Footprint: Maintaining a Robust Record of Your Publications and Citation CountsExport this event to calendar

Thursday, February 12, 2015 — 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM EST

Do you need the highest, most accurate citation counts of your work for academic advancement documentation, job applications or grant proposals? Do you find one research database doesn’t capture all your publications or citations of your publications?

By the end of this hands-on workshop you will have:

  • set up a collection system using bibliographic/reference management software to maintain an accurate master list of your publications and their citations,
  • set up alerts in the most appropriate research databases to inform you of citations of your work,
  • thought critically about some of the pitfalls or limitations associated with tracking citation counts as related to academic impact.

Held in Dana Porter FLEX Lab (LIB 329).
