As specified in Policy 18.4 – Staff Employment - Performance Management, Waterloo is committed to the ongoing growth and development of its Staff. The purpose of performance management is to provide ongoing confidential, constructive feedback to a Staff member regarding their performance in relation to the requirements of their job description and identified career goals and objectives.
Performance management may occasionally include performance improvement measures that can, where necessary, result in progressive discipline measures or employee termination, in keeping with Policy 18.6 - Staff Employment - Terminating Employment. (See Policy 18 - Staff Employment - Appendix C: Performance Management and Policy 18 - Staff Employment - Appendix E: Terminating Employment for further details.)
