About Mathematics Business and Accounting Programs

Overview

Welcome to the Mathematics Business and Accounting unit.

There are eight unique programs in this unit from which to choose that allow students to combine mathematics with business and accounting. Currently there are over 2,500 students in our programs creating tremendous academic, career and social opportunities. These programs can lead to various areas of specialization and professional designations including Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). The programs are well geared to those students who have a desire to work in fields like finance, accounting, supply chain management, management of technology, marketing, project management, and other exciting fields. The unit allows students to simultaneously focus on multiple areas of studies of interest to them. As part of the Faculty of Mathematics, students are part of the largest concentration of mathematical and computer science talent in the world. The faculty has more than 6,000 students, 200 full-time professors, and 500 courses in mathematics, statistics and computer science, making the faculty the ideal place to study a math-related field. The unit offers a wide array of resources and services that not only provide the students in the programs with information when they need it, but also help them to get involved in the unit and ultimately the university. Many former graduates are still involved and are also helping out with the unit. The unit has excellent teaching which it is known for worldwide and which makes it great to be a part of.
