On February 24th, 2023, four Math Business and Accounting students competed virtually in the 19th edition of the Rotman International Trading Competition (RITC). Over 40 teams from universities around the world competed in the leading international trading competition. This year’s competition consisted of four different activities, including volatility, electricity, and algorithmic trading cases, and a liquidity risk case.
The University of Waterloo team did not place in the top 10 in this year’s competition, but it was a highly beneficial experience for the team, and lessons learned will be passed on to next year’s team.
