Community Education Event: The Mind-Environment Connection: How Does Nature Affect Our Well-Being?
Please join us for a Community Education Event at the Kitchener Public Library Central branch on Tuesday Nov 18, 2025 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
Clinical psychology graduate students Monica Grove and Nadine Ghanem will present a workshop for the general public titled:
The Mind-Environment Connection: How Does Nature Affect Our Well-Being?
The workshop will take place in the Central Library, Meeting Room A, 85 Queens Street North, Kitchener. Registration has just opened and is required. Please see link below.
The environment around us has a powerful impact on our well-being. What are the benefits of spending time in nature? How can we build a happy and healthy relationship with the natural world? How common is it to worry about climate change, and what can we do to cope? Clinical psychology graduate students from the University of Waterloo will share the research and explore the psychology behind our relationship with the environment and how it can shape the way we think and feel.
