Brok Laschowski MASc research in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering focuses on mathematical modelling and optimal control simulations of Paralympic sport movements for wheelchair design optimization. Read more on the University of Waterloo website

Brok Laschowski was awarded 2nd Prize in the 2015 International Sports Engineering Student Design Competition. Brok investigated the effect of different oar designs on rowing biomechanics using mathematical modelling and field experiments with Olympic athletes. This research was conducted in collaboration with the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario, Rowing Canada Aviron, and the University of Western Ontario.
