PhD candidate Brok Laschowski was awarded 4th Prize Best Poster for his research on computer vision and deep learning for autonomous control of robotic lower-limb prostheses and exoskeletons at the 2019 IEEE International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics (over 450 poster submissions).

William McNally was awarded the Best Overall Paper Award at the 2018 Conference on Vision and Intelligent Systems for his research "Action Recognition using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks and Compressed Spatio-Temporal Pose Encodings". Congratulations William!
 

Prof. John McPhee delivered the keynote address at the 2018 Asian Conference on Multibody Dynamics (ACMD) in China entitled "Multibody Dynamics and Model-Based Control: From Cars to Humans". The conference was hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in associated with the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM). 

Dr. John McPhee and the Motion Research Group were recently highlighted in the Research Features Magazine for their advancements in Biomechatronic Systems Modelling, with applications toward autonomous and hybrid electric vehicles, rehabilitation and assistive robotics, aerospace systems, and sports engineering design.
