Waterloo Political Economy Group

The Waterloo Political Economy Group (WatPEG) is designed to bring together faculty and graduate students in the Waterloo region interested in political economy.

Courts & Politics Research Group

The Courts & Politics Research Group is composed of scholars who study courts, constitutions, and the law from a political science perspective. It is designed to connect political scientists in the region of Southern Ontario, and currently has members from Brock University, the University of Guelph, McMaster University, Queen's University, the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo, and the University of Windsor.

Political Science Annual Book Launch

The department is proud to host this event celebrating the achievements of its faculty's research publication.  Graduate students get a chance to listen to faculty talk about their recent publications and the process behind the finished product.

Department Speaker Series 

The Speaker Series is a chance to learn about current political issues, new books in the discipline, careers in Political Science and to find out what research our own faculty are working on. Faculty and students get a chance to ask questions and mingle over lunch.

Political Science Graduate Student Conference

Master's students host a conference where local graduate students can showcase their research. This is a fun event where students from around the region can meet and discuss their research.

Inquiry & Insight is a peer reviewed and student run journal that addresses contemporary issues within the field of political science.

UW Global Affairs Association (UWGAA)

UWGAA is a forum for students who are interested in global affairs. It is open to all faculties and departments, and facilitates academic and experiential learning on various topics. UWGAA organizes educational events for students, provides a space for discussion and debate, and participates in external conferences representing the University of Waterloo.
