Cindy Forbes retired from Manulife Financial as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team in October 2020. Her career at Manulife spanned 40 years and a wide range of roles including seven years working in Asia where she was CFO of Manulife’s Asian operations and six years as Global Chief Actuary. She also established Manulife's Global AI and Advanced Analytics function and laid the foundation for Manulife’s carbon reduction commitment. Ms Forbes was named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network in 2011 and again in 2015. She serves on the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board and is the Chair of the Finance Committee, as well as a board member, for the Fields Institute.
