Yuqi Jing is a current PhD candidate in Actuarial Science and Quantitative Finance under supervisors Chengguo Weng and David Saunders.  Yuqi completed a Bachelor of Mathematics with Finance from the University of Manchester in 2023, and then obtained a Master of Mathematics in Statistics from the University of Waterloo in 2025. Yuqi's research interests are quantitative finance, econometrics, and quantitative risk management, focusing on portfolio theory, covariance estimation of asset returns, and quantile estimation in risk management.
