Department
of
Statistics
and
Actuarial
Science
on
January
1,
2022
as
an
Assistant
Professor.
Lan
is
currently
a
Post-Doctoral
Fellow
at
Harvard
University.
Her
research
is
in
the
area
of
causal
inference
and
missing
data
in
complex
longitudinal
observational
studies,
with
applications
to
both
aging
and
HIV
research.
Motivated
by
real-life
applications
in
public
health
and
medicine,
her
research
addresses
methodological
and
conceptual
challenges
that
scientists
may
face
in
answering
clinically
relevant
questions
using
real-world
data
studies.
