Facilitating Shared Decision Making for Medical Treatments Through Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM)

Patients are becoming more involved in healthcare related decisions as part of a universal shift toward providing patient-centered, preference-based care in medicine. Is there a way to help patients make treatment decisions based on what matters to them most?In this talk, an overview of the uses of Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) in the context of personalized treatment decision making is presented along with a demonstration of a prototype application in R Shiny.
