Your student will be responsible for managing their student finance account and submitting important documents.
Parents and guardians are not granted automatic access to student information. This includes finances, grades, health and student discipline. Learn more about student privacy and independence.
Student finances
Tuition and fees are paid each study term.
Your student’s finance account is managed through Quest. By mid-August, they should be able to view their tuition fees (plus residence and meal plan fees).
Your student will receive email reminders to view their account and “become fees arranged” by the due date.
Your student will need to have their account status showing as “Fees Arranged” by the due date to avoid a Fees Arranged Extension fee.
This means that payment or promissory notes must be made or submitted in time to appear on their account on or before the due date.
Student finance resources:
- Review how to become fees arranged.
- Your student may choose to opt out of incidental fees.
- Explore awards and financial aid for undergraduate students.
Looking for support?
The Centre is here to help. Student service specialists are ready to answer your student's questions about financial aid, OSAP, official documents, payments and accounts, Quest support and more.
OSAP and other documents
The Centre is your student’s main resource for questions about OSAP and official documents. They provide an overview of the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and how to apply.
The Centre also provides all official documents your student may need, such as Official University letters required by a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP).
Taxes
Your student’s tuition tax receipt (T2202) is usually available by the end of February. They can access it through their Quest account.
The Accounting and Finance Student Association runs a Tax Clinic every March to help students file their returns.
