Official transcripts

A Waterloo official transcript is a complete record of a student's academic history at the University of Waterloo, including all undergraduate and graduate courses taken, grades earned, academic standing, co-op requirements, awards of excellence, and degrees conferred.

All official transcripts are complete and unabridged and are representative at the time they are issued. Partial transcripts are not issued.

Official University letters

Official University of Waterloo letters may be required to prove your enrolment status for a variety of reasons, including immigration applications, Canada Pension Plan (CPP) forms, Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP) or graduate school applications.

Proof of enrolment letters are available for free in Quest, or if more complex details are required, you can order a modified proof of enrolment for a fee.

Diplomas

A University of Waterloo diploma is awarded to students who successfully complete their degree requirements and are approved to graduate. It includes the student's name, the name of the program, the date, the University seal and the signatures of University officials.

A diploma is a legal document and one official copy is issued. Replacement diplomas may be produced with additional documentation.
