Opt-in, two-factor authentication (2FA) is being enabled for campus enterprise systems. After 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, users who have previously opted-in to 2FA protection for their Connect OWA or Office 365 account will now also receive a 2FA prompt when they log in to Quest and LEARN.
Users who want to opt-in to protect their accounts with 2FA can enrol by visiting https://uwaterloo.ca/2fa and clicking the “Get started now” button.
Advisors from both faculties will be in The Centre from 1-4 pm on Wednesday, March 27 + Thursday, March 28. Check in at the Welcome Desk when you arrive (counter 8); there's no need to use the kiosk to queue in.
Don't forget, the Application to Graduate form is due by March 1st if you plan on graduating this term! If you are an undergraduate student and you expect to graduate, you must apply to graduate by using this form.
During the February 2019 Reading Week, Quest will be updated to provide clients with a new navigation experience.
The tile-based navigation structure (like the mobile view now) offers students, faculty, and staff a modernized, and user friendly experience. And while the initial style of the page and how you navigate the tiles will be different, the actual site content and how you use those pages will remain the same.
Service Canada representatives will be on campus issuing and renewing Social Insurance Numbers from January 21-January 25. Drop by The Centre with your original documents and WatCard and book a same-day appointment from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Or book a same-day apopintment via Portal.
