New collection of socio-demographic data for students in Quest

The University of Waterloo is now offering students the option to share their socio-demographic information through Quest. By providing details such as disabilities, gender, sexual identity, racial identity, religion/spiritual affiliation, students will help the University better understand the diverse needs of its community. This data will be used to improve support services and programs for all students.

• Participation is voluntary, and students can update or delete their information at any time by selecting "prefer not to answer."
• Information about how the data is used and protected is included on the Notice of Collection/Disclosure web page on the Information and Privacy website.
• Students can visit the How do I view or update my personal information web page to learn how to update their socio-demographic information in Quest.

This effort supports the University’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable campus experience for all students.
