Welcome Week events in the WLRC

As part of Welcome Week at uWaterloo Optometry and Vision Science, the Witer Learning Resource Centre will be providing demonstrations of our resources to 1st and 2nd year Doctor of Optometry students.

2nd year student sessions will take place Wednesday. The following survey will be published Wednesday morning to be completed during the sessions.

2013 Data Management Day @ University of Waterloo

The second annual data management event at the University of Waterloo will take place on October 24th, and will entail a morning of lively presentations from researchers across various fields of study, and at different stages of data storage planning. The morning’s events will explore the unique issues facing researchers today as they decide where, how, and what data to store.

Lunch & Learn session: uWaterloo Thesis Template tutorial

The Witer Learning Resource Centre will be hosting a Lunch & Learn workshop that will cover how to navigate the uWaterloo thesis template and adding/using referencing in conjunction with the thesis template.

WLRC Module 6: Reviews and Systematic Searching

This workshop will discuss the characteristics of a variety of review studies, including systematic reviews, scoping reviews, narrative reviews. Learn when and why to use and conduct these different forms of knowledge synthesis. The ‘gold standard’ components of the search methods used for systematic and scoping reviews will be outlined including the reporting standards.
