The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Waterloo proudly celebrated its graduating class this past weekend, marking a significant milestone in the academic and professional journeys of its students.
Graduates crossed the stage during convocation ceremonies, joining the ranks of Waterloo alumni prepared to make an impact in the engineering profession and beyond. The department commended the hard work, dedication, and achievements of its students, emphasizing the limitless opportunities that lie ahead.
Among the highlights of the ceremony were two notable recognitions. Mankirat Singh Sains was selected as one of the class valedictorians, representing the graduating cohort with distinction. In addition, Ruth Meyer received the prestigious Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education Gold Medal, an award that honors academic excellence and leadership within the engineering community.
“These accomplishments reflect the strength and talent within the CEE program,” the department noted, extending best wishes to all graduates as they embark on their careers.
The celebration was made possible through the efforts of faculty and staff who supported students throughout their academic journey and ensured the success of the convocation event.
