Jason Cai, Silas Clusiau, Kenneth Siu and Max Perry were awarded first prize and the people’s choice award in the Construction Specifications Canada student design competition.

Their project 'The Ivystone' an adaptive re-use project at the Gaslight District that took home the $2,000 first prize was created as part of the ARCH 655 – Professional Practice course with instructor John McMinn.

Presented by Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) Grand Valley and Toronto Chapters, the annual Student Design Competition is open to all current post-secondary school students in Ontario with an interest in construction-related activities including architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, interior design, construction management, innovative products, and manufacturing.
