The article, which can be found in the November-December 2012 publication, focuses on the leading North American schools in six categories: architecture, interior design, urban design, landscape architecture, industrial design, and sustainable and social design.
The schools in each category were chosen as a result of a poll conducted by the magazine of leading architects and designers across Canada and the U.S.
Waterloo Architecture was one of the top five schools chosen in the architecture category and the only Canadian school to make the cut. Waterloo's co-op program and the international studio in Rome were two of the main reasons cited for selection.
The four other schools selected in the architecture category include: Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Southern California Institute of Architecture.
