High End Computer Models
Individual faculty members may require higher levels of computing capabilities that can only be offered through high end computer models. In the case that faculty opt to acquire a high end model instead of a standard model 100% funding will come from the following:
-
Start-up funds: account provided to ACO to make purchase on behalf of faculty member, or
-
Grant monies: account provided to ACO to make purchase on behalf of faculty member, or
-
Faculty Professional Expense Reimbursement (FPER): to be purchased by faculty member using personal credit card.
If a high end computer model is chosen, in all cases, the computer purchased will remain the property of the University of Waterloo.
If you have concerns about this, please contact Acting Associate Dean, Co-operative Education and Planning Anindya Sen.
If you are interested in a high end computer model, please contact your departmental ACO support person for details.
