ECE Professor, Raafat Mansour, has been selected by IEEE Canada as the 2019 recipient of the IEEE Canada A.G.L. McNaughton Award. The Medal is awarded to an Outstanding Canadian Engineer who is recognized for exemplary contributions to the engineering profession. Professor Mansour will receive his award in May at the IEEE Canada Awards Gala.
Professor Mansour is globally renowned for employing emerging materials and technologies such as high-temperature superconductor and Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) to build novel devices with unprecedented performance. His excellence in research is recognized internationally through Fellowship in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario and is a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC).
