Development of advanced software tools for filters and multiplexers
The objective of this project is to develop synthesis, design and computer-aided diagnosis tools for filters and multiplexers. The diagnosis tools are based on both frequency domain and time domain techniques.
EM-based design tools for RF circuits
The objective of this project is to develop advanced design methodologies that combine electromagnetic (EM) commercial tools and circuit models to develop models that are both accurate and fast. Several techniques based on the concept of corrected coarse model are being investigated.
Modeling of terahertz generation and optical demodulation
The objective of this project is to use the unique nonlinear characteristics of the high-temperature superconductivity (HTS) materials in the generation of terahertz signal and in optical demodulation. Models have been developed for the kinetic inductance of the HTS materials. Several novel devices are being investigated.
Thermal analysis and modelling of high power RF circuits
The objective of this project is to combine electromagnetic software tools with thermal software tools to evaluate the temperature buildup when operating under various high power levels.
