The COMPASS principal investigator, Professor Scott Leatherdale, has received funding from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) to partner with research colleagues at the Cardiovascular Surgery Unit of Guatemala to conduct research in schools in Guatemala (starting in 2014-15) using the COMPASS framework and instruments. This partnership represents an important opportunity for the COMPASS team to share its resources and vast knowledge with international partners in developing nations who strive to improve the health outcomes of their populations.
