On Wednesday, December 29, Region of Waterloo public health informed us of two individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 and who had visited our campus.
The individuals are in self-isolation and public health officials are contacting anyone indentified as a close contact of these individuals.
If you are not contacted, you have not been identified as a close contact of either individual. You should continue to follow our on-campus safety procedures including our campus check in screening daily, and self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and seek testing if needed.

The individual is in self-isolation and officials are contacting anyone indentified as a close contact of the individual.

Update: A previous version of this post indicated we were notified of one individual who tested postivie for COVID-19. We were subsequently made aware of a second case.
On Monday, December 20, Region of Waterloo public health informed us of two individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 and who had visited our campus.

On Friday, December 17, Region of Waterloo public health informed us of one individual who tested positive for COVID-19 and who had visited our campus.
The individual is in self-isolation and public health officials are contacting anyone indentified as a close contact of the individual.
If you are not contacted, you have not been identified as a close contact of the individual. You should continue to follow our on-campus safety procedures including our campus check in screening daily, and self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and seek testing if needed.
With in-person final exams completed and most employees now working remotely, student and public access to campus buildings will be limited prior to the full holiday shutdown at 5:00 p.m. on December 23. While the campus is not closed, for security and safety, most academic and academic support buildings will be locked.
Employees and researchers may continue to access buildings for work purposes using either key or fob entry.
