It has been a long and difficult 12 months dealing with the challenges presented by the pandemic. In retrospect, it has also been a truly inspiring time considering all that we have accomplished, and I am grateful for the work that you have all done over the past year to help support our students, staff, and faculty to manage, progress and thrive during the pandemic.
We are introducing an exception process to allow faculty members to apply for essential research travel during COVID-19 to conduct international sabbaticals or long-term research activities
We will not consider requests for exceptions for short-term travel
On Thursday, March 11, 2021, Region of Waterloo public health informed us of one individual who tested positive for COVID-19 and had visited our campus.
If you have not been identified as a close contact of the individual, you should continue to follow our on-campus safety procedures including our campus check in screening daily, and self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and seek testing if needed.
