Award description:
This award was established in loving memory of Bonnie Ho, a Bachelor of Arts '02 and Masters of Accounting '03 graduate, respectively. Awards will be provided annually to students registered full time in the Master's of Accounting program at the School of Accounting and Finance who have a minimum overall average of 80% and demonstrated financial need. In reflection of Bonnie's finest attributes, students must also demonstrate academic excellence, professionalism, and compassion; preference will be given to a students with demonstrated interests in athletics, community service or other student activities.

Eligibility & selection criteria: 

  • Must be registered full-time in the Master's of Accounting program in the School of Accounting and Finance; preference will be given to students entering the program.
  • Must have a minimum overall average of 80%.
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident, as well as an Ontario resident (must have resided in Ontario for 12 months prior to beginning their post-secondary education).
  • Must apply to OSAP for the term in which the award is due and provide a printout (screenshot) of their OSAP Funding Summary. Note: If a student has been restricted from applying to OSAP then they must instead provide proof that they are restricted.
  • Must have demonstrated financial need. From their budget, within the Graduate Student Award application, their “Current term expenses” must exceed their “Current term income”. All amounts entered will be reviewed and only standard expenses will be allowed.
  • Must demonstrate academic excellence, professionalism, and compassion; preference will be given to students with demonstrated interests in athletics, community service or other student activities.
