Award description:
Established through graduate student fees, the Faculty of Arts Departmental Graduate Scholarships are available to students registered full-time in a master’s or doctoral program in the Faculty of Arts. Recipients will be automatically selected by their department based on academic achievement.

Eligibility and selection criteria:
- Limited budget is available; eligible students will be automatically nominated by their department without the need for a specific award application based on their annual budget allocation.
- Graduate students must be registered full-time in the Faculty of Arts, be in good academic standing, within program time limits
- Students must normally be in a research-based master’s or doctoral program.
- Selection will be based on academic achievement as demonstrated by student’s application for admission or student’s most recent evaluation of progress and feedback (e.g., progress/activity report, advisory committee report).
- Recipients of major external scholarships such as tri-agency or OGS/QEII-GSST are not eligible for this scholarship.
