Award description: 
The main purpose of this award is to provide any outstanding full-time female doctoral student (Canadian citizen, permanent resident or student on a study permit) an entrance scholarship in the amount of $5,000 for one year. The award is normally paid across two terms.

Eligibility & selection criteria: 
Eligible students must have a first-class (80%) standing, as well as an outstanding record of research accomplishments and/or references citing significant future potential in research. The student must be willing to compete for all external awards for which she is eligible and must aspire to pursue a career in higher education and research.
