IEEE Antenna & Microwave Tech Day 2026

Join us for the University of Waterloo Local Celebration of IEEE Antenna & Microwave Tech Day 2026.

This free in-person event will feature:

  • Invited talks and UW lab presentations
  • Student booths, demos, and posters
  • Panel discussion
  • Networking opportunities + Surprise contest announcement (In-person attendees only)

Lunch, coffee, refreshments, and snacks will be provided.

Organized by the IEEE AP-S and IEEE MTT-S Student Branch Chapters at the University of Waterloo.

NOTE: General event registration is welcome. We are currently seeking additional professors and students to participate in invited talks, research demos, and panel discussions. Anyone who is interested or feels their work aligns well with the event themes is encouraged to contact the IEEE Student Branch Chapter Chairs: Sebastian Ratto Valderrama (MTT-S) at srattovalderrama@uwaterloo.ca or A. Latch-Up 2026: Conference on Free and Open Source Silicon

Latch-Up 2026 invites the free and open-source silicon community to Canada. The FOSSi Foundation is hosting Latch-Up, a conference dedicated to free and open-source microelectronic chip design, taking place over the weekend of May 1–3, 2026.

Latch-Up is a weekend of presentations and networking for the open-source digital design community, bringing together students, researchers, and industry professionals interested in open hardware and semiconductor innovation.
