The Engineering IDEAs Clinic provides undergraduate engineering students activities which relate their classroom learning to practical applications. These hands-on activities cover a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines, hence they require a space that is flexible and reconfigurable. The new Engineering 7 building will provide this space and allow the Engineering Ideas Clinic to take engineering education at the University of Waterloo into a new era. This space has been designed for activities with both light and heavy mechanical components, and allows the integration of industrial design into in-class activities with the close proximity of a new Student Machine Shop.
