A number of ERS students have taken advantage of the Winter term Reading Week to do a field course outside of Waterloo. Learning ‘hands on’ about the environment in different locations, it has been an opportunity for learning, for expanding horizons and for having fun! More information about these courses is available at the following locations:
ERS 375 – Coastal Marine Change in Jamaica (and you can follow course instructor Professor Derek Armitage at @ECGGroup)
ERS 422 – Biosphere Reserves as Social-Ecological Systems (taught by Dr. Rebecca Pollock, of the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve)
ERS 475 – Biochemistry for the Analysis and Management of Freshwater (see tweets from the Waterloo Summit Centre for the Environment at @UWSummitCentre)
