Kira Cooper is an award-winning inner transformations specialist. Her work explores the nexus of inner and outer sustainability with specific attention to how novel affective, cognitive, and relational skills can be cultivated to support collective flourishing amidst the polycrisis. Currently, she is developing an open-sourced program to assess the readiness of organizations to shift beyond unconscious normalcy and embrace uncertainty, chaos, and paradox as precursors for systemic change. For her doctoral work, Kira developed an assessment framework to evaluate how and to what extent interventions for inner transformation align with core sustainability requirements. Her research continues to advance best and wise practices for engaging with inner transformation to enhance prospects for long-term viability. In addition to her work in the sustainability field, she has a research background in the management of infectious diseases and contaminant mobilization on reserve lands in Canada.
