Have you ever wondered about residencies – what they are – how to find them – what they are like? This panel/talk will give you an overview of some of the different types of residencies out there and how to get them. Tara Cooper and Jane Tingley will account some of their favorite residencies and will talk about their personal experiences.
Encaustic is a painting process which involves combining colour pigments and hot wax and then applying them to a porous, rigid surface such as prepared wood or canvas panel.
Linda Carson will give a workshop on how to do encaustic. This workshop is free and open to anyone.

The Department of Fine Arts and the University of Waterloo Art Gallery (UWAG) present YES! 2015, the 41st Annual Undergraduate Exhibition. The show features recent artworks by fourth year honours students completing the Fine Arts undergraduate program at the University of Waterloo. Representing a broad spectrum of materials, themes,media and concepts the exhibition reflects the diversity of the program and its students.

The current cohort of Master of Fine Art (MFA) students is holding an open studio which is a unique opportunity to view the work and the meet the artists participating in this program in an informal setting.

Winter term life drawing sessions will be held in East Campus Hall (ECH) 1224A on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm from January 14 until April 8. There will be no session during reading week (February 18).
