Final chance to see the Tri-City Stopgap Pop-up Art Exhibition

Tri-City Stopgap exhibitionOver 60 artists from in and around the region are participating in a temporary exhibition in a large warehouse and office space at 151 Weber St. South in Waterloo.  The Tri-City Stopgap Pop-up Art Exhibition is organized by Fine Arts alumni Mike Ambedian, Sheila McMath, and Nadine Badran.

The exhibition can be seen October 31 4:30-8:30 p.m. or at the closing reception, Saturday November 1st starting at 7:00 p.m.

Encaustic workshop

Encaustic is a painting process which involves combining colour pigments and hot wax and then applying them to a porous, rigid surface such as prepared wood or canvas panel.

Linda Carson will give a workshop on how to do encaustic.  This workshop is free and open to anyone.

Tara Cooper and Jane Tingley will account some of their favo​​rite residencies and will talk about their personal experiences.
