The Fine Arts woodshop is located in East Campus Hall (ECH) 1227. Its hand tools and equipment are only available for use by students taking fine arts courses. Prior to a student's use of the shop, a safety course provided by one of the department’s technicians must be completed. Students must use proper safety gear (safety glasses, dust masks, etc.) and wear proper attire. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training is mandatory for all Fine Art students.
The woodshop is open 9:30-3:30 (and closed for 1 hour at lunch) on weekdays during the Fall and Winter terms.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
