This scholarship has been established in memory of Professor Paul Seligman. It will be awarded annually to a first year graduate student in Philosophy. Special consideration will be given to students who have already demonstrated excellence in the areas that Professor Paul Seligman had worked in, most notably ancient philosophy, Jewish thought, and the philosophy of religion. All newly-admitted first-year graduate students in Philosophy will be eligible for the award. Announcement of the award is expected by June 30 each year.
