Subject: New Processes for approvals of human participant research

Based on the province’s most recent reopening plans and management of COVID-19 for the long term, the University of Waterloo is further adjusting our review and approval of human participant research activity.

To date, the on-campus employment of full-time graduate students has been limited to 10 hours/week on average per term. The University has heard from students that there was a strong desire to provide greater flexibility in employment hours.
