About the the Knowledge Integration program

Two students brainstorming with sticky notes

In the spirit of the innovative history of the University of Waterloo, the Knowledge Integration program, housed in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability, has a commitment to integrating knowledge across disciplines. Innovative solutions and groundbreaking research happen where disciplines – and researchers – cross boundaries.

Undergraduate courses

The Knowledge Integration program offers students the opportunity to explore interests on both sides of the traditional arts and science divide, taking courses that provide a core of skills that will equip them to understand and solve complex problems, communicate effectively, and be able to make a difference in and adapt to a changing and complex world.

INTEG courses are offered in Fall and Winter terms.

The four-course Knowledge Integration Diploma will teach you valuable skills like critical thinking, teamwork, and creative problem-solving that are essential in today's workplace. With this diploma, you'll become a strong leader and strategic thinker, ready to tackle any challenge! The diploma can be added to any Waterloo undergraduate degree.
