A talk from Ali Versluis, Open Education Resources Librarian at the University of Guelph, and co-creator of the Archives, Library, and Information Mentor Base (ALIMB) about getting started with peer support and mentorship. Ali will discuss the importance of mentorship, give an overview of different types of mentorship/peer support models, discuss her mentorship experiences (as both a mentor and a mentee), and share some tips on what makes for good peer support.

Tom Eadie, former Head of Reference, is joining us on Tuesday, March 5 at 10:30am in the Computer Lab, to present on and discuss the history of the Role of Librarians document (now the LEH), LAUW, and the early days of academic status for librarians in Canada.

Tom’s presentation will be followed by lunch at East Side Mario’s.
